The other day as I was walking down the lane,
I happen to peep into a window with an open pane.
Little did I realize what I was to see!
I saw in the house my younger me!

First I couldn’t recognize her a bit,
Then I decided to take a closer look and sit.
She was young, spirited, and happy!
I am old, worried, and sometimes snappy.
She came closer to me and said –
“Reread the happy tales once you read.”
I dusted the old book she gave,
I read the stories from my past page to page.

The little girl in the book loved Life,
In spite of fear and all the strife.
She too had challenges of her own!
Sometimes defeated, sometimes victorious, or sometimes just survived!
Softly she whispered in my ear – ‘’What has gone wrong with you today ?”
”You have seen more summers and are wiser than yesterday!”
”You can’t have youth like mine,
But in your wisdom and experience, you shine!”
Listening to her I realized –
Every moment of Life – Live to the fullest and enjoy.
Whether at 18, 28, 48, or 80, Life is a complete joy!
